Will Lindsey

Head Coach

Originally from Mills River, NC, Will has made his home in Brevard, NC. His baseball career began at West Henderson High School, extending through his college years at Anderson University, where he played for four seasons. Transitioning from the field to coaching, Will served as an assistant coach at Anderson University, where he specialized in training position players.

As the current Head Coach at Brevard High School, Will's leadership has propelled the Honeycrisps to significant achievements, including two consecutive Western Conference titles and securing the league's top record in 2022. Under his guidance, the team has seen the rise of seven All-Stars, the ONSL Player of the Year, Noah Thigpen, Defensive Player of the Year, Brayden Corn, and Pitcher of the Year, Bo Trantham.

As Will and his coaching staff prepare for their third season, there's a palpable excitement about representing Hendersonville and pursuing an ONSL title. Their commitment and strategic approach position them as strong contenders in the upcoming campaign.

Trevor Weisner

Assistant Coach

Born and raised in Easley, SC, Trevor is a proud product of Easley High School. His academic and athletic journey took him to Anderson University, where he excelled as an infielder for the baseball team over a span of four years, culminating in earning a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education.

Today, Trevor has come full circle, teaching English and Film at his alma mater, Easley High School. Beyond the classroom, he invests his time and expertise in the next generation of athletes as the Head JV baseball coach and an assistant coach for the Varsity team.

Trevor's coaching credentials are extensive, including three successful summers in the competitive high school summer ball scene, a significant tenure as The Director of Baseball Operations at Camp Caribou in Winslow, Maine, and responsibilities as a site director for numerous Perfect Game events. Now, as he steps into his role as an assistant coach for the Honeycrisps, Trevor brings a deep commitment to the game and a rich background in nurturing young talent, setting the stage for an impactful first season.

Bob McDonald

Pitching Coach

Hailing from Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, Bob has been a resident of Hendersonville since 2017.

His athletic journey began at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, where he honed his skills as a standout pitcher for four seasons. This dedication and talent led to his selection by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 19th round of the MLB amateur baseball draft in 1987, marking the start of an illustrious professional career.

Over eleven years in professional baseball, Bob accumulated more than 4 and a half years of Major League Baseball (MLB) service time, a testament to his skill and perseverance. His journey through the majors saw him pitch for iconic teams, including the Toronto Blue Jays, Detroit Tigers, New York Yankees, and New York Mets. Along the way, Bob faced off against some of the game's legends, serving up home runs to the likes of Mark McGwire, Frank Thomas, and Cal Ripken Jr., an experience that few can claim.

Bob is eager to channel his MLB experience into nurturing the pitching talent of the Honeycrisps. His goal is to leverage his firsthand knowledge of the highest levels of the game to foster development and improvement among the team's pitchers, promising an exciting new chapter for both him and the Honeycrisps.

Taylor Noble

Assistant Coach

Born and raised in Hendersonville, NC, Taylor Noble's baseball journey began at East Henderson High School, where he first made his mark on the mound. His passion for the game led him to Mars Hill University, where he not only honed his skills as a pitcher but also earned a Bachelor's degree in History.

Taylor's dedication to baseball continued as he joined the Triad Tribe for the ONSL's inaugural season in 2020, showcasing his talent and love for the sport.

Fast forward to today, Taylor is in his fourth season as the pitching coach at his alma mater, East Henderson High School. Working alongside head coach Will Lindsey, he has been instrumental in shaping the Honeycrisps' pitching staff, including guiding former Pitcher of the Year Bo Trantham.
